Mrs. Davalos
My name is Andrea Davalos. I am currently a Kindergarten teacher at Country Isles Elementary. In 2018-2019 I was honored with winning Teacher of the Year. I love being a teacher and am very excited to meet my new kindergarten class!
I was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and moved to South Florida at the age of four. My parents were both born and raised in Ecuador and have passed down many of their values onto my brothers and I. Despite moving here, my family continued speaking Spanish at home and I was able to retain my native language
On March 2015, I married my best friend and a few months later we adopted our little bundle of joy, Rocco. He’s a sweet maltese that loves playing, eating treats and taking long naps.
We have beautiful daughter named Emma who is very silly and loves to learn. We also have a son named Thiago who is playful and curious. They both enjoy dancing, spending time outdoors, and playing with water.

In my free time, I love crafting and creating things for my home and classroom. I also enjoy traveling, trying new food, learning about other cultures, going to the beach, and going to the movies. Some of my favorite things are scented candles, caramel fraps, and shopping at Target or Marshalls.
It has been my childhood dream to become a teacher and help children learn and grow. I went to the University of Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 2011 and a Masters of Education specialized in Children's Literature in 2012. Go gators!

I enjoy working with children and knowing that I am helping my students succeed by stimulating their creativity and making learning fun for them.
