I hope your child come home eager to start practicing their sight word lists at home now that I’ve revealed what the reward for their hard work will be :)  Once your child can identify the words on one list, he/she will advance to the next list. Your child should know which list they are currently working on. It is likely that your child will also know several words from the other lists, but it is important to work through one list at a time so that they can master them in “digestible bites”.  It is importantly to periodically go back and retest your child on previous list to emphasize learning. Students will be able to practice reading and writing their words throughout the school year during our literacy centers.
